  • S07E04 - HR Rescue: 8 Best Practices for Conducting Video Interviews

Talent acquisition teams are racing to find ways to make what has historically been a very high-touch human process a virtual one. They are figuring out how to effectively work from home, conduct video interviews, make successful offers (to candidates whom the hiring manager may not have met), and remotely onboard new hires.

And even though we’re eight months into COVID, not every candidate is comfortable being on video and therefore won't' present themselves as well as they would in-person. You can pick up on nonverbal cues via Zoom or any other platform, but they are harder to see. The result – good candidates can come off the wrong way and miss opportunities. So let’s talk about ways to make the most of the technology while minimizing its limitations, here are 8 best practices for conducting video interviews.
