S07E13 - HR Rescue: New Employment Laws Kicked in January 1, 2021: Paid Leave, Minimum Wage and Training Top the List

HR professionals have faced significant challenges and much change in 2020, with a global pandemic, the economic recession and widespread social unrest each making new demands. Now, as we close out an eventful 2020, let's collectively take a deep breath and hope for calmer times in 2021.

One way to get the year off to a smooth start is to take time now to review the new employment laws that took effect on January 1, determine their impact and get your organization ready to comply. The new laws - more than 100 in total - will affect employers in 27 states and numerous localities.
